A Registered Master Electrician field of practice includes the installation, wiring, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical machinery, equipment and devices, in residential, commercial, institutional, commercial and industrial buildings, in power plants, substations, watercrafts,electric locomotives, and the like:
Registered Master Electrician can render Electrical works, Electrician services or In-charge of electrical works up to five hundred kilo-volt-amperes (500 Kva), or six hundred volts (600 V).
Registered Master Electrician’s are allowed to sign documents like Electrical Permit and Certificate of Final Electrical Inspection or Completion as In-Charge/Supervisor of Electrical Works up to five hundred kilo-volt-amperes (500 Kva), or six hundred volts (600 V).
If the Electrical Installation is above 500 kva or 600 volts the work shall be under the supervision of the Professional Electrical Engineer or Registered Electrical Engineer.

- Registered Master Electrician can be In-charge of electrical works up to five hundred kilo-volt-amperes (500 Kva), or six hundred volts (600 V) only.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7920
SEC. 27. Indication of Registration/Professional License Number.
- The Professional Electrical Engineer, Registered Electrical Engineer, or Registered Master Electrician shall be required to indicate his registration/professional license number, the date registered, and the date of its expiry in the documents he signs, uses or issues in connection with the practice of his profession.
Before an RME can sign the said documents he/she must have;
- A valid PRC License (Not Expired)
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Updated Professional Tax Receipt (PTR)
